Job Description:
We are currently looking for a motivated Scientist to join the
High Throughput Antibody Screening and Biomolecular Interaction
Group within the Therapeutic Proteins team. As a Sr Associate
Scientist, a typical day may include: Supporting Therapeutics
Protein activities by implementing methods to characterize protein
interaction kinetics and biochemical properties using SPR, BLI,
ITC, and other analytical technologies in support of the companys
VelocImmune fully-human antibody pipeline. Essential duties and
responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the
following: Antibody characterization, method development, and
analytical support for biologics development using biochemical and
biophysical methods. Troubleshooting established test methods used
in development and release testing of screening reagents. Tabulate
results and write summary reports of assay development. Present
findings at group and interdepartmental meetings. Maintain lab
supplies and equipment. Produce and maintain accurate records. You

(SDS-PAGE, Western Blot) HPLC & FPLC techniques Immunoassays
development (ELISA) Chromatography Spectroscopy Iso-Thermal
Calorimetry Interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Word processing, spreadsheet, and database management To be
considered for this role, you must have the following: BS with 6
yrs or a MS degree with 3 yrs proven experience. Solid
understanding in one or more of the following areas are needed:
structural biology, biophysics, or chemical biology. The candidate
is expected to have the ability to follow verbal and written
instructions, be self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive, in
addition to possessing excellent organizational, interpersonal, and
problem solving skills. Knowledge and experience in using
biophysical methodologies such as Biacore, Octet, or ITC to study
protein/small molecule or protein/protein interactions and binding
kinetics preferred. Good hands-on experience in protein chemistry
such as (HPLC, FLPC, ion-exchange, affinity, size exclusion
chromatography, and protein conjugation chemistry) or protein
analysis (SDS-PAGE, Western-blot, ELISA). Highly motivated and able
to work productively in a fast-paced team environment. Excellent
