About the Role:
As a consultant - project manager/business analyst in the Policy and Program Strategic Solutions Practice, you will collaborate with team members to conceptualize, deliver, and support our clients through today's ever-changing healthcare landscape. Serving as a project manager/business analyst, your day-to-day role as a NYSTEC consultant will be to support the enterprise project management office (ePMO) unit lead within the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) Division of Data Services and Analytics (DDSA) by assisting with the division's project portfolio and providing training and implementation support.
The ideal candidate will understand and use industry best practices in project management and will possesses the ability to create engaging and effective training environments that cater to individual learning styles. The candidate should be self-motivated, independent, and able to work in a less structured client environment.
Key Responsibilities


  • Developing training content dependent on the division resource needs.
  • Planning and preparing training sessions.
  • Assisting with day-to-day management of the ePMO resources.
  • Working with cross-division units to implement the ePMO's project management standards.
  • Working with the ePMO unit lead to facilitate executive meetings, discussions, and adherence to the processes and procedures.
  • Assisting project teams with maintaining compliance ePMO standards by developing and maintaining project schedules, participating in stakeholder meetings, conducting requirements elicitation, determining project changes, undertaking project tasks, and assessing project risks and issues and escalating to the ePMO.

    About you:
    Required Qualifications

    • Experience working within a PMO.
    • Project management and business analysis experience.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent time management skills.
    • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint
    • Experience using SharePoint, Teams, and other collaboration tools.

      Preferred/Desired Qualifications

      • Project management professional (PMP) certification.
      • Change management experience.

        Education and Experience

        • A bachelor's degree and three years of related experience.

          The target base salary for this position is $60,000 - $82,000 per year. When determining compensation, we analyze and carefully consider several factors, including skill set, experience, location, and job-related qualifications.
