Description
The Credit Card Senior Business Systems Analyst performs complex
business analysis and application development related duties that
include providing lead direction to other analytical staff and
providing strategic input; and/or coordinating and managing
initiatives that are moderate to large in size and scope, that may
require coordination across multiple departments and systems. The
Senior Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for process
mapping, maintaining functional and non-functional specifications,
detailed documentation and reporting to support initiatives, audit
inquiries, management updates and compliance reviews. As such the
incumbent will be considered a subject matter expert for the Credit
Card applications, components of the processing system and all
business processes supported by Credit Card Operations and will
provide support aligning to the current business strategy.
Primary responsibilities include:
Providing technical guidance to technical staff assigned to
business systems analysis; directing the work of peers and/or
subordinates on assigned initiatives.
Providing strategic support for the Business Systems Analysts to
document and appropriately capture functional specifications
according to organization process in alignment with overall Change
Framework.
Preparing complex reports, correspondence and other documents;
attending meetings, conferences and training sessions.
Improving and/or documenting business processes as flows and
updating historical flows.
Designing the configuration of system settings and options to
ensure business requirements are fulfilled.
Providing integrated systems analysis within their domain and
identify how application/systems interact to support business
processes
Liaising with other technical staff, testers and functional
business lines to ensure they understand the functional
requirements of the systems
Managing project tasks assigned within scope, quality and timeframe
allocated independently or at times with Project Manager
supervision.
Identifying and recording risks, issues, dependencies and
assumptions in accordance with project standards. Agreeing
escalation level with Project Manager when applicable and then
managing those assigned through to resolution including updating
project risks and issues logs.
Managing multiple medium to larger scale projects. The incumbent
may also be responsible for project related research/business
analysis, requirements writing, testing, test script creation
and/or test script execution. Includes working with the management
team in module management and capacity tracking to complement
project on-boarding.
QualificationsRequired Skills/Experience:
5-7 years of experience with business systems analysis
Advanced understanding of business and business systems
analysis
Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications to include Microsoft
Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Word
Self-thinker able to work through issues and escalate only when
appropriate
Superior written and verbal communication skills; ability to
deliver impactful concise messages to management, vendors, and
business lines
Strong organization and time management skills.
Strong ability to multi-task.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Quantitative & qualitative reasoning skills
Ability to travel
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Knowledge of the TSYS TS2 Consumer and Commercial processing
systems
Education and Certifications
Required: Bachelor's degree or work experience equivalent
