organization)The Senior Technician guides and directs the clinical
equipment program in a single hospital and/or multiple sites. The
role directs the work of technicians in assigned locations while
working under the supervision of the Site Manager or Senior Site
Manager. This role installs, inspects, troubleshoots, repairs,
calibrates, and verifies the performance of highly complex
biomedical equipment and systems, independent of technical
supervision. The individual should be competent in the use of all
applicable test equipment and tools required in the performance of
duties. The associate in this role is fully capable of educating
others including clinical staff related to the technical
integration of medical systems. The Senior Technician provides
assistance with managing daily operations of the team, including
scheduling staff schedules, scheduled equipment maintenance and
project implementation. Technical ServicePerform preventative
maintenance (PM), performance verifications (PV), electrical safety
inspections (ESI) and operation verification procedures (OVP) on
highly complex and intricate biomedical equipmentRepair, install
and calibrate highly complex and intricate biomedical
equipmentInform departments of the status of repairs, scheduled
inspections and unusual equipment situation.Identify in-source
opportunities and address any customer concernsWork with, direct
and document the activities of subcontractors, vendors and outside
service technicians to ensure proper service deliveryMaintain
biomedical expertise through ongoing training and educationLead
service operations and special projects as assignedTravel to sites
and/or work with other Central Office associates as necessary for
the collection and analysis of information and/or data pertaining
to any special assignmentsCapable of serving as a technical
resource to the department as a trainer to junior and mid-level
technicians and coordinating cross-training/technician development
across the departmentUtilizes policies/process as a guide in day to
day activities. Seeks approval for activities outside of
policies/process Support and make recommendations on continuous
improvement initiatives and work with leadership to implement
identified corrective actionsRegulatory Compliance Lead by example
in documentation of work performed, quality/thorough notes,
accuracy and timeliness of work order completionAssist with work
order pending approval processEnsure the accuracy and integrity of
the equipment database to include but not limited to the inventory,
preventative maintenance (PM) schedules, nomenclature and service
historyAdhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP),
including all regulatory agency compliances and other applicable
policies and proceduresResponsible for ensuring all service
documentation is complete, timely, and accurateEnsure the timely
approval of site work orders with the goal of maintaining a zero
balance at the end of each monthSubmit regulatory requests when
neededAccount Relationship Management Build and maintain customer
relationships in the departmentsDiscuss equipment status and
functionality with cliniciansAdheres to the Mission, Vision, and
Values of the organization(s) servedRegular interaction with
external customers and end users (technologist, nurses,
technicians) to resolve issuesInventory Perform periodic
inspections of current inventory statusVerify the completion of
security analysis for new customer equipmentPerforms performance
verification (PV) to maintain a complete and accurate inventory of
medical devices, including trial and evaluation, rental, loaner
equipment in addition to permanently assigned equipment inventory
and conduct audits reassuring temporary devices are dispositioned
timelyManages inventory validation process, developing a plan of
action to reassuring monthly goal is achievedPerform rounding in
departments to verify accuracy of inventoryEducation and Work
ExperienceAssociates degree in electronics, related technical
discipline or equivalent military training preferredTechnical
Certification such as A+, CBET, CRES or CLES preferredMinimum 5
years' experience working with biomedical equipment in a clinical
engineering environmentMust have CE experience and knowledge and an
ability to influence othersKnowledgeComplex computer skills
required, including the ability to administrate a system, interpret
error codes, defragment hard-drives, replace power supplies,
interpret computer codes and apply networking conceptsAdvanced
knowledge of Microsoft Office applications requiredAbility to
integrate information from a variety of sourcesAbility to lead,
mentor, and influence clinical engineering staffExcellent
interpersonal and customer service skillsStrong written, verbal and
presentation communication skills. Possess strong leadership,
organizational, and time management skills in effort to make
effective decisionsOccasionally required to bend, crouch, climb,
balance or otherwise maneuver body to perform equipment and/or
