Job Description:
This position is a Hybrid role (mix of on-site and remote work)
located anywhere within the M&T footprint in New York,
Maryland, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Vermont, New
Hampshire or Delaware.
Are you passionate about Transformation Delivery? This is an
exciting role in support of more senior delivery managers focused
on executing the largest and most strategically prioritized change
initiatives at the Bank including M&As, risk management,
regulatory compliance, and revenue / market transition
opportunities.
Overview:
Independently leads, or directly supports more experienced team
members, on a portion of large-scale complex initiatives, or
strategically important short-term engagements, that deliver
business outcomes. Develops capabilities in Transformation Delivery
including program/project management, scope definition, process
re-engineering, workshop facilitation, organizational change
management, performance measurement, and customer experience. This
function serves as independent 3rd party advising and supporting
internal stakeholders on transformation delivery and execution.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Select and leverage multiple Transformation Delivery Tools to
ensure all action items, risks, decisions, and issues are
identified, captured and escalated. Ensure follow-up on all
critical items and drive accountability through documentation of
deliverables and owners to ensure continued progress against
plan.
* Create roadmaps, change management plans, timelines, and
continuous status reporting, governance frameworks and other
artifacts to support and lead discussions and workshops intended to
define priorities, objectives, success measures, customer
experiences, and outcomes.
* Develop routine to highly complex communications on
transformation initiatives used across various levels in the
organization with high attention to detail and quality.
* Create documentation to effectively influence management towards
decisions and motivate others to take action.
* Learn multiple business lines to enable effective support of
their needs during transformation initiatives.
* Utilize new transformation delivery tools and techniques and use
them to facilitate certain discussions.
* Expand and leverage some institutional and banking knowledge of
M&T's people, business processes and workflows, products, and
technologies to deliver desired outcomes.
* Understand prioritization methodologies and develop artifacts to
support it.
* Develop, track and report on outcomes and key measures of success
for transformation initiatives.
* Utilize new transformation delivery tools and techniques and use
them to facilitate certain discussions.
* Question departmental status quo by consistently pushing for
innovation and improvement and recommend solutions.
* Develop, track and report on outcomes and key measures of success
for transformation initiatives.
* Build relationships with key stakeholders to support effective
delivery of outcomes.
* Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory
standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's
Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to
management.
* Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the
M&T Bank brand.
* Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely
implementation of internal and external audit points together with
any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
* Complete other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
The position allocates work as a team leader and may check on
completion and quality of work from less experienced personnel.
Will not have direct reports.
Education and Experience Required:
* Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years' work experience, or
in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years' higher
education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years'
work experience
* Minimum of 3 years relevant transformation delivery or consulting
work experience
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Detail-oriented
* Proven intellectual curiosity
* Proven leadership skills
Education and Experience Preferred:
* Masters' degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Masters' of
Science (MS) degree
* Minimum of 3 years' project, program, or portfolio management
experience, specifically with large-scale transformation
programs
* Prior experience leading organizational change
* Relevant financial services industry experience
* Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile, Scaled Agile
Framework (SAFe), Certified Business Analyst (BA) and/or
ScrumMaster certification
Compensation Range:
Annual(USD): 85,264.98 - 142,108.31
