Summary

The Sales Manager of Residential Solar Sales will manage a team of Outside Sales Associates at PosiGen. The Sales Manager is responsible for training, coaching, developing and mentoring the sales team who will deliver required targets, working cross functionally with other departments and prioritizing the sales team work load. The ideal candidate will have experience in the solar or renewable energy industry, possess stellar communication skills, and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

Essential Job Functions

Responsible for training, coaching, developing and mentoring the sales team who will deliver required targets, working cross functionally with other departments and prioritizing the sales team work load.

Mentor and coach a team of Outside Sales Representatives to exceed sales goals

Run weekly sales reports to track regional sales trends and productivity

Manage and prioritize daily work load

Conduct weekly team meetings

Prepare and present weekly forecast to CEO and President.

Manage the administrative process of the sales team, to ensure documentation is obtained and submitted promptly to the appropriate customer and compliance departments

Work with the talent acquisition team to recruit, screen and hire the best qualified sales candidates

Recognize outstanding performers and mentor those who are development on reaching required targets

Liaise with the Operations and Marketing team on lead volume, installations and quality control

Effective demonstration of sales process, able to identify buying criteria, eliminate objections, and develop solutions to close the sale


Position Requirements

Education/Experience

BA/BS or combination of education, training, and experience

Min 5 years Previous Sales Management experience

Must have managed at least 5-10 people

Knowledge of solar energy field, preferred

Construction industry knowledge preferred

Must have previous employee development experience

Previous budgeting experience preferred

SalesForce experience is a plus

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Power Point)

Bilingual is a plus

Must have a clean driving record (example, no DUI in the last five years)

Must have a valid state drivers license

Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal and drug screen
