paradigms for Disney Entertainment & ESPN's global portfolio of
consumer-facing streaming and digital products – including Disney,
Hulu, ESPN, ABC, ABC News, Nat Geo, Marvel, and Star Wars. The
Disney Entertainment & ESPN Product & Technology team is seeking a
Senior Product Data Analyst who excels in experimentation, advanced
analytics, and data-driven strategy for digital news and
entertainment products. In this pivotal role, you will partner with
cross-functional teams—including Product, Engineering, Design, and
Data Science—to enable robust experimentation (A/B and multivariate
testing), develop actionable insights, and influence product
direction. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicates
complex findings clearly, thrives in collaborative environments,
and is passionate about advancing user experience and business
outcomes through rigorous analysis and innovation. Responsibilities
Collaborate with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to
clarify product objectives, help establish success metrics, and
support the development of experimentation strategies throughout
the product lifecycle. Assist in scoping, designing, and executing
A/B and multivariate experiments, applying sound hypotheses and
statistical methods, and ensuring proper segmentation and
measurement using established frameworks (such as north stars,
OKRs, and diagnostic metrics). Contribute to the creation of test
plans, data collection requirements, and experiment tracking
protocols; participate in cleaning and validating experimental and
behavioral data to ensure analytical accuracy upon test completion.
Support efforts to forecast and measure the business impact of new
features and personalization initiatives—including incremental
revenue, user engagement, and retention—and perform deep-dive
analyses to uncover improvement opportunities and inform product
decisions. Assist with communicating complex data and experiment
outcomes using advanced statistical techniques, clear
visualizations, and executive summaries, tailoring insights for
both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Help develop and
maintain automated dashboards, self-service tools, and reports to
track experiment performance and key business KPIs; proactively
surface data gaps and collaborate with Data and Engineering teams
to enhance data quality. Advocate for best practices in
experimentation, data governance, and measurement, while supporting
knowledge sharing and contributing to a culture of evidence-based
decision making and innovation across the team. Basic
Qualifications 5 years of experience in product analytics, data
science, business intelligence, or a related role, with a strong
focus on experimentation and analytics for digital content, news,
entertainment, or streaming products. Advanced proficiency with SQL
and experience working with large, complex datasets. Strong skills
in experimentation (A/B and multivariate testing), statistical
inference, and experiment design. Proficiency with Python or R for
analysis and modeling. Experience with data visualization tools
(e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) and analytics platforms (e.g.,
Optimizely, Amplitude, Google Optimize, Adobe Target). Proven
ability to clean, manipulate, and analyze data; to translate
technical findings into clear, actionable insights for diverse
audiences; and to influence product decisions. Excellent
communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Passion
for news, entertainment, or media, and a drive to enhance user
experiences through data-driven experimentation and
personalization. Required Education Bachelor's degree in
Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics,
Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field from a
four-year accredited college or university and/or equivalent work
experience. The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is
$123,000 to $165,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will
take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on
the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills,
and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term
incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation
package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial,
and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
