**Description**

At Humana, we're looking for an experienced Agile Coach to help transition our existing work practices to a full embrace of agile methodology, from the top down. The agile coach will analyze our organization's existing infrastructure and will act as the change agent of Lean and Agile practices to implement improve and help streamline processes and create efficiencies. This person will mentor and guide our associates in the transformation by partnering, influencing, and collaborating to determine the best solutions for their specific departmental challenges. Ultimately, the agile coach will play a key role in helping our teams deliver better products in a faster, more efficient manner.

**Responsibilities**

**Objectives**

* Work with project teams to analyze current systems and processes and design a strategy for adopting agile best practices

* Guide teams in how to stay on track with agile techniques, fine-tuning their approach to ensure that overall strategy is being met

* Lead agile workshops for developer and functional teams, as well as for key stakeholders

* Promote a culture of continuous improvement, setting goals and milestones and assigning responsibility

* Drive cultural change by championing an agile mindset, and ensure the organization is adhering to industry best practices

**Responsibilities**

* Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance.

* Champions the use of metrics and other objective measures by teams

* Coaches senior managers in agile practices to ensure adoption of best practices from the top down

* Communicates agile principles, scrum practices, and overall operating model across the organization

* Creates tools/options and leads training/coaching/mentoring sessions (with teams, small groups or individuals as necessary) to demonstrate how leaders and associates can apply Agile practices in their day-to-day work.

* Facilitates learning and development among employees through individual and team coaching

* Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks and works under minimal supervision.

* Guides an organization through the transition and drives continued adherence to optimal Agile work practices.

* Holds stand-up meetings with cross-functional teams to review project status

* Maintain objectivity regarding issues and how to troubleshoot them by applying agile principles

* Promotes a culture of innovation by fostering implementation of Agile values, principles and practices, which include techniques to increase collaboration, predictability, transparency and velocity.

* Provides on-going iteration/flow management for high profile agile transformation initiatives to provide real-time coaching as well as to gather and share Agile best practices across the enterprise.

* Supports teams in determining resource allocations to maintain agile practices and ensure smooth project delivery

* Undertake daily follow-ups with individual team members to ensure projects are on track and goals are being met

* Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action

* Working with leaders and roles within organizations to align end-to-end flow of product value delivery from ideation to production.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 8 years of professional experience

* Three or more years of experience as agile coach, performing large-scale Agile transformations

* Experience in using scrum, Kanban, and scaled agile framework (SAFe)

* Track record of implementing agile techniques in different work cultures and environments

* Consulting and facilitation skills in leading and training product and delivery teams.

* Value Stream Mapping to establish and orient around Products

* Roadmap development for large initiatives/transformations

* Ability to influence and mentor senior leadership on Agile mindset and practices

* Success metrics development and tracking

* Strong ability to create/conduct workshops that target keys areas within organizations that require elevation of Agile maturity (e.g., Agile/SAFe 101, Agile Role alignment, Scrum, Kanban, DevOps).

**Preferred Skills and Qualifications**

* Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Program Consultant (SPC 5+) with enablement to train

* Experience in coaching at large organizations or Fortune 500 companies

* Technology Life Cycle Management

* Waterfall and Agile Development Methodologies

* Data analytics and visualization

* Customer experience design

* Process design and improvement

* Communications development

* Azure DevOps and JiraAlign ALM tooling

* SharePoint documentation control

* Enterprise Business Agility transformation experience (business and technology)

**Additional Information:**

_Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field._

**Work-At-Home Requirements**

+ WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.

+ A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.

+ Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.

+ A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
