We are looking for a Payroll Manager to oversee our payroll function across our veterinary practices and manage the set-up and roll out of payroll for new practices we acquire. You'll work to ensure all payrolls are processed accurately and timely. - A big part of your job will be to supervise our payroll team and liaise with partner practices on payroll.

Our ideal candidate has a relentless attention to detail, is highly analytical and methodical, has experience in payroll administration and deep knowledge of payroll regulations. We value integrity, team spirit and strong organizational skills.

Your goal will be to ensure our payroll procedures are compliant, efficient, and current.

Responsibilities include:

Manage and oversee the company's payroll function for over 100 locations.

Manage the overall implementation process of all new partner practices; this includes working with internal team members and outside service providers across payroll, benefits, garnishment, and retirement services.

Review current payroll practices to ensure timely processing and compliance and also look for opportunities to create efficiencies in the overall payroll process.

Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal polivcies.

Supervise, coach, and manage team of payroll specialists; ensure the preparation, accuracy and integrity of every payroll processed.

Serve as a back up to process payroll at locations as needed

Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax, workers compensation and government authority benefit audits as needed

Participate in and support various projects, as needed.

Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.

Support the Human Resources Director in payroll-related initiatives.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position based in Stamford, CT. Hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., overtime may be required from time to time. Current office days are Monday through Wednesday and work from home on Thursday and Friday.
