Job Description:
Woodbridge Township is seeking seasonal counselors for our
Club-Kidsports Summer Camp Program. A summer camp counselor is
responsible for supervising and ensuring the safety of campers
during camp activities, leading recreational games, crafts, and
outdoor adventures, while creating a positive and engaging
environment for children by providing guidance, support, and
positive role modeling, all while adhering to camp safety protocols
and regulations. Campers supervision: Actively monitoring campers
during all activities, ensuring their safety and well-being, and
addressing any behavioral issues. Maintaining group dynamics:
Fostering positive relationships within the camper group,
encouraging participation, and resolving conflicts. Enforcing camp
rules: Upholding camp safety guidelines, including proper attire,
emergency procedures, and reporting any incidents. Requested parks
will be considered, but there is not a guarantee of placement. Camp
will run rain or shine so please consider this when choosing an
outdoor camp. Previous experience working with children is a
plus.
