Job Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION The Clinical Manager is required to have a
minimum of a master’s degree in psychology, child development,
special education, applied behavior analysis, or a related field
and is required to be BCBA certified or a qualified LICENSED
healthcare professional who meets state requirements. Company does
not reimburse for any associated costs relating to the NJ LBA. The
LBA licensure and BCBA certification is mandatory to maintain.
Company does not reimburse for BCBA recertification fees. The
Clinical Manager is also required to have relevant supervision
experience and meet all of Company program competencies. The
Clinical Manager reports directly to the Clinical Director and
develops, monitors, and oversees ABA treatment plans, provides
direct clinical case supervision to supervisors and behavior
technicians, and provides oversight and direction of assigned cases
and behavior technicians. On a monthly basis, the Clinical Manager
meets individually with each supervisor to provide supervision and
consultation regarding shared cases, review client programs and
data, discuss staff issues, review supervisor management of their
clinical team, and to follow up on any case-related and/or funding
source issues. Cases assigned through CSOC PerformCare require
in-person service delivery. If assigned MCO/Commercial plan cases
Clinical Manager is mandated to provide in-person supervision
and/or parent training services on a quarterly basis. Remainder of
supervision, parent training and assessments are to be completed
via tele-health. Outstanding communication and leadership skills
are necessary for this role. Please note that all content of this

Clinical Manager works collaboratively with other members of the
Clinical team but reports to the Clinical Director. POSITION DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following statements are intended to
describe the major elements and requirements of the position and
should not be taken as an all-inclusive list of responsibilities,
duties, and skills required of individuals assigned to this job.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Ensures timely attention and response to
parent and staff concerns as part of case management
responsibilities Ensures timely staffing of all ABA cases with
qualified BCBAs/ RBTs/BTs Ensures quality clinical service delivery
by meeting all minimum supervisory requirements and parent training
hours (requirements vary per funder) Maintains no less than 12-15
billable hours weekly Provides monthly supervision to all behavior
technicians on their team (maintaining 5% supervision for any
Registered Behavior Technicians) Develops, monitors, analyzes, and
updates client programming monthly Conducts Functional Behavior
Assessments (FBAs) or direct service as needed Attends scheduled
promotional events and engagements as needed (comp time
applicable). Provides guidance and direction to assigned behavior
technicians on treatment plan and behavior plan implementation
Provides establishment of program goals, agendas, protocols,
measurement systems, and procedures Develops and monitors treatment
plan protocols as needed Conducts supervision, parent education,
adaptive behavior treatment protocol modification based on assigned
cases’ authorized treatment hours Responds to family/client issues
in a timely manner; escalates when necessary Responds to critical
staff issues in a timely manner; escalates when necessary Develops
and writes progress reports and submits on time to Clinical
Director Renders clinical time on the ABA software at the end of
each session, including completing session notes to POSS in
accordance with health plan standards and collecting parent
signatures. Ensures clinical documentation meet POSS standards and
requirements Facilitate and lead monthly staff trainings Provide
support that promotes retention on BT/RBTs Maintains communication
with all staff within agency; responds to staff concerns in a
timely manner Maintains appropriate relationships with supervisors
(e.g., supportive and approachable, but maintains leadership role)
Monitors insurance authorization expiry to ensure authorization for
services are current Keeps current with relevant research around
behavior-analytic intervention practices, upholds best practice
standards, and communicates new research to staff and how best to
implement new knowledge In addition to the above duties the
following duties and responsibilities also apply: Ensures quality
clinical service delivery by meeting all minimum oversight and
management requirements Ensures quality clinical service delivery
by ensuring all minimum supervisory requirements and parent
training requirements are provided Provides management and
direction to supervisors on shared cases Provides guidance and
direction to Behavior Technicians Provides guidance in identifying
solutions to problems with program development and implementation
Provides guidance to supervisors in analyzing client outcome data
to make recommendations in program implementation Approves all
program changes Provides education and guidance to supervisors and
staff regarding the Implementation and the development of
intervention goals Provides education to supervisors and behavior
technicians regarding funding source requirements Provides guidance
to supervisors regarding how to respond to client issues, funding
source issues, or other problems as they arise Meets with
supervisor(s) at a minimum of once per month to review cases
Develops and assists in the development of progress reports.
Develops and edits supervisor report submissions in a timely
manner, provides effective feedback, and ensures they are written
in a professional manner Reviews on all progress reports on
