Development for our skilled nursing facility who is committed to

opportunity! RESPONSIBILITIES: • Lead and coordinate the facility's
orientation and ongoing education programs for all nursing and care
staff, ensuring new employees receive comprehensive training and
are prepared to deliver high-quality resident care. • Plan,
conduct, and evaluate in-service and competency training, including
classroom sessions and hands-on clinical instruction, to maintain
and enhance staff skills in accordance with facility policies and
regulatory requirements. • Maintain accurate records of
orientation, in-service attendance, skills assessments,
certifications, and training documentation to ensure compliance
with state and federal regulations. • Conduct regular educational
needs assessments in collaboration with nursing leadership to
identify areas for staff improvement and develop targeted learning
plans. • Monitor staff competency through ongoing observations,
skills checks, and annual performance evaluations; provide
remediation or additional education as needed. • Serve as a
resource and mentor for staff, promoting professional development,
reinforcing best practices, and supporting a positive learning
culture. • Stay current with industry regulations, standards of
practice, and educational best practices; ensure training programs
reflect changes in clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and other department
leaders to support quality improvement initiatives, infection
control education, and survey readiness preparation. • Coordinate
specialized training efforts such as emergency drills, safety
education, and compliance-related sessions as required. • Provide
leadership during facility surveys related to staff education and
competency, answering surveyor questions and demonstrating
education program effectiveness. QUALIFICATIONS: Valid,
unrestricted RN license in Connecticut. Graduate of an accredited
college nursing program (BSN preferred). Minimum clinical nursing
experience, ideally with 2 years as a licensed nurse, including
experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings.
Experience in nursing education or staff training, including
planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs (or
willingness to complete required educational development
coursework). Current CPR/BLS (or equivalent) certification as
required by facility policy. Strong interpersonal and communication
skills; ability to work well with residents, families, and the care
team. Leadership mindset with a passion for coaching, mentoring,
and developing others to deliver high-quality care. Excellent
organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to
prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage training schedules
and documentation. Comfortable working in a long-term care or
skilled nursing environment (experience preferred). Be able to
