Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Oncology - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/03/2026 - Duration: 12 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Days, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Apr 3, 2026 - Length: 12 weeks - Openings: 3 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a day-shift travel contract at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring chemotherapy certification and Epic proficiency. Details - Acute care hospital setting with 426 staffed beds, part of the Yale New Haven Health System - Oncology unit with floating to other Med/Surg units as needed - Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (0700–1930) - Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage as needed - Charting performed in Epic (experience required) - Free parking available on-site Requirements - Active CT or Compact RN license required - Current certifications required: BLS, NIHSS, and Chemotherapy (ONS or ONCC) - Oncology nursing experience with chemotherapy administration required - Epic EMR experience required - Level II Trauma Center or comparable acute care hospital experience required - Candidates must not have any priors on their nursing license - Flu vaccine required; declinations are not accepted - COVID vaccine required; religious and medical exemptions accepted - 1 professional reference required for consideration Additional Information - Candidate must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates are not eligible for this position - Former permanent staff of this facility must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler - Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved by the facility for this contract - Royal blue scrubs required - Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed American Traveler Job ID P-679936.
