Job Description Job Description Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Acute Care Location: New York, NY (ZIP: 11373) Job Type: Contract Schedule: 4 Weekdays 1 Weekend Day Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pay Rate: $40 per hour Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment services in an acute care hospital setting . The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in managing medically complex patients and will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders Conduct bedside and clinical swallowing evaluations and manage dysphagia treatment plans Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical condition Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary care teams Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes Educate patients and families on therapy goals, strategies, and safe swallowing techniques Participate in discharge planning and care coordination Required Qualifications Active New York State Speech Language Pathologist license (NYSED) Minimum 2 years of acute care SLP experience Experience working with medically complex patient populations Demonstrated competency in dysphagia assessment and treatment Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills Preferred Qualifications Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Prior hospital-based acute care experience For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
