Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, renowned for its amalgamation of a

experienced Clinical Nurse II to join our dynamic Short Stay
Surgical Unit. In this role, you will be pivotal in providing
top-tier nursing care to patients during their short stay following
surgical procedures. This position requires a compassionate
professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is
committed to delivering the highest levels of patient-focused care.
Assess, plan, and implement nursing care plans before, during, and
after surgery Monitor patient health and recovery, providing
necessary updates to the healthcare team Administer medications and
maintain detailed documentation Educate patients and their families
on post-surgical care and precautions Ensure compliance with
healthcare regulations and safety standards Participate in
continuous education programs to enhance nursing knowledge and
skills Strong clinical skills with a focus on surgical care
Proficient in using healthcare technology including EMR Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively
as part of a multidisciplinary team Strong decision-making and
problem-solving skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
in the state of practice BLS/ACLS Certification required
Certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing is a plus
