Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Brooklyn, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,262 per week Shift Information: 3 days x 11 hours Contract Duration: 14 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Brooklyn, New York, 11235! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med/Surg Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 7:30 PM - 8:00 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum two (2) years Med/Surg experience in a large acute care hospital setting. The most recent experience should be within the past year. License: New York State RN License & Primary Source Verification Certifications: AHA BLS; AHA ACLS (if applicable) Must-Have: - Acute Facilities: Minimum two (2) years Med/Surg experience in a large acute care hospital setting. - Post Acute Facilities: Minimum two (2) years Med/Surg experience in either Post Acute Facility or acute care hospital setting. - Physical assessment skills. - Medication administration skills. - Wound care and infection control skills. - IV therapy skills. - Post-operative care experience. - Patient education experience. - Telemetry monitoring experience. Description: Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals. Evaluating medical information and providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients. Preparing, administering, and recording prescribed medications. Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs. Adjusting specialized medical equipment as needed and interpreting and recording measurements. Monitoring patients' vitals and reporting adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner. Collaborating on discharge planning with the healthcare team. Answering questions and educating patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care. Maintaining and updating patient files, medical charts, and health records.
