Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/17/2025 - Duration: 16 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with trauma experience and the ability to both scrub and circulate, requiring a CT or compact RN license. Responsibilities - Position located in the Operating Room of a short-term acute care hospital - Covers a range of surgical services including general, GYN, urology, robotics, neuro, ortho, plastics, vascular, and thoracic procedures - Level II Trauma Center with a surgical focus and a total of 426 staffed beds - Day shift, 5x8 hours per week, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM - Weekend call required with a minimum of 2-3 call shifts per 6-week schedule; one 12-hour trauma call or backup call on weekends - Weekday call is self-scheduled - EMR used is Epic - Responsible for scrubbing and circulating for diverse surgical cases - Pre-start modules are required for orientation - Free parking available on site - Non-local candidates only; local candidates are not accepted unless otherwise specified - Requests for more than 7 days of time off require approval Requirements - Active CT or compact RN license required prior to start - Minimum of 3 years OR RN experience with trauma experience required - Ability to both scrub and circulate in most services - Experience in trauma center setting required - Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted - COVID-19 vaccine and booster required unless valid medical/religious exemption provided - Must live at least 75 miles from the facility - Must provide at least one professional reference - Returning staff must have a minimum 2-year break before reapplying as a traveler Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624328.
