Job Description WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract Surgical Technologist for a local contract job in Livingston, New Jersey. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Surgical Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for an ongoing assignment at a prestigious hospital in Livingston, NJ. /n/n/n/n/n/n /n/n /n/n/n/n /n/n/n/n/n/n Job Function: /n - Day Shift or Evening Shift. /n - 5x8. /n - Maintain a proper sterile field throughout surgical procedures. /n /n - Count and document sponges, needles, and instruments before and after operations per policy. /n /n - Prepare patients for surgery as requested. /n /n - Provide technical assistance to surgeons, OR nurses, and anesthesiologists as needed. /n /n - Wash, sterilize, and maintain surgical equipment using proper techniques. /n /n /n Job Requirements: /n - Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program. /n /n - Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). /n /n - BLS certification preferred (American Heart Association). /n /n - 1 year of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist in an OR setting. /n /n - Experience in robotic surgery, ENT, orthopedic, vascular, general thoracic, and neurosurgery preferred. /n /n /nDisclosure: The hourly rates and/or salaries listed may or may not reflect total compensation packages including bonus and fringe benefits, etc., nor are the advertisement(s) posted a guarantee of a certain compensation package for a position or bona fide offer of employment.
