Job Description:

The Program Coordinator will organize and lead faculty in a manner that ensures quality classroom instruction. They will administer programs, monitor the learning process and tailor course materials to the levels and needs of individual students, which will ultimately allow students to develop employable skills leading them to jobs that are commensurate with student ability and employer expectation.
The Medical Assistant Program Coordinator will have a hand in:

  Position Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • 
    Education Requirements:
    
    
  • 
    Bridgeport campus - Bachelor's degree required; must be a graduate from a Medical Assisting or nursing program
    
    
  • 
    Hamden campus - Associate's degree required; must be a graduate from a Medical Assisting or nursing program
    
    
  • 
    Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, CCMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from a nationally recognized agency required
    
    
  • 
    3+ years full time work experience in a Healthcare facility with minimum 1 year direct patient care including 40 hours in an ambulatory healthcare setting
    
    
  • 
    Classroom teaching experience at the post-secondary level required
    
    
  • 
    Successful leadership and management experience preferred
    
    
  • 
    Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
