This position will lead interdisciplinary quality and safety projects; conduct peer reviews; identify and recommend system enhancements to promote patient safety and quality; conduct safety and quality educational programs. Masters degree in healthcare or equivalent preferred.EXPERIENCEThree (3) to Five (5) years of experience of clinical nursing in an emergency department setting is required. Two (2) to three (3) years clinical experience with informal or formal leadership role. Experience with quality and safety project work. Experience entering clinical information into computerized databases is preferred. Experience with database queries is preferred. Quality improvement and patient safety knowledge preferred. A working knowledge of regulatory and operational guidelines that govern the relevant clinical area. Clinical experience in specialty modality depending on position location and department needs.LICENSURECT RN license required.SPECIAL SKILLSProject management skills, including the ability to identify stakeholders, plan steps, coordinate and allocate resources to accomplish goals and objectives in a timely manner Leadership skills, including comfort with decision-making responsibilities; coaching, teaching, and counseling skills; and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others and to forge alliances and garner support. Strong communication and interpersonal skills including skills at persuasion and negotiation.
