How will you make a difference to PMI?


Mid-level leader accountable for bringing PMI's global content strategy to life through all phases of creative development (e.g., animation, audio, graphic design, photo, and video) from conception to completion, delivering must-have, top-notch assets that delight, educate, and inspire desirable actions from our audiences. Manage an in-house team of graphic designers, multimedia engineers, and video editors/producers, as well as agencies, contractors, and third-party vendors and ensure all creative tells a cohesive story and meets PMI's brand, content, and editorial guidelines and standards, reinforcing and delivering high-quality work. Partner with internal cross-functional leaders and their teams (e.g., Brand, Content and Thought Leadership, Communications, CX, DX/UX, Events, Marketing, Product, Social, among others) to help maintain and elevate PMI as the trusted leader and in the project, program, and portfolio management space and position project management as critical to organizational success.





What you'll bring to the role:



  • Manage in-house creative talent, including full-time graphic designers, multimedia engineers, and video editors/producers, as well as external creative agencies, contractors, freelancers, and vendors.


  • In partnership with the Director of Content and Thought Leadership and other functional leaders, collaborate on the transformation of our content identity through a clear creative direction that aligns to our brand guidelines and standards.


  • Work with Content and Thought Leadership management to identify success metrics and key performance indicators that prove ROI for creative assets.


  • In alignment with the enterprise-wide Content and Thought Leadership strategy and leadership team, develop unique creative concepts (e.g., look, feel, tone, etc.) for all thematic, integrated content programs and campaigns, putting the customer first.


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Brand, Content and Thought Leadership, Communications, CX, DX/UX, Events, Marketing, Product, Social, among others) across regions (e.g., APAC, Europe, LATAM, MENA, North America, and others) to develop, create, and deliver creative concepts and multimedia assets to support various customer journeys and respective supporting content experiences.


  • Manage the production of all multimedia/multiformat creative assets (e.g., checklists, eBooks, guides, quizzes, reports, templates/tools, video, etc.) from start to finish, including reviews, feedback, and approval, and identify opportunities to streamline and scale to deliver high volumes without compromising quality.


  • Track all creative production spend and collaborate with Content, Finance, and Procurement leadership to provide creative solutions to optimize allotted budget, as well as remove any roadblocks or bottlenecks to ensure on time and competitive payments.


  • Build, maintain, and socialize a Creative Center of Excellence encompassing a partner network of vendors to enable other internal teams to use onboarded and preferred vendors to maintain consistency, cohesion, and quality standards across creative assets.


  • Partner with Content Operations and Performance to manage and maintain the creative editorial and production calendars; ensure effective and optimized storage and cataloging of all creative assets in the enterprise-wide DAM; and streamline and optimize effective intake workflows and processes.


  • Own and manage the PMI graphic and video archive; repurpose and curate content for use in PMI's digital channels to support the enterprise-wide content strategy.


  • Consult on graphic and video usage and production for internal teams.


  • Lead, empower, equip, and inspire remote talent through ongoing coaching, training, and constructive/actionable feedback for continuous growth.






    Role Profile Qualifications:



    • Bachelor's degree in Arts, Design, English, Journalism, Marketing, Media, or another relevant field.


    • 8+ years of demonstrable experience creating and executing digital multimedia/multiformat creative/content that sets the bar high and inspires others to do the same, portfolio required.


    • 5+ years as a creative project/program manager, producer, or account lead in a Creative/Content/Marketing team, at a creative agency, or a similar setting; includes managing domestic and international teams (e.g., internal resources and external agencies, contractors, freelancers, vendors, etc.) in global B2B and B2C environments.


    • Creative, strategic, and analytical mindset with advanced understanding of design principles that deliver top-notch assets and inspire people to take action.


    • Experience working with cross-functional teams including Brand, Content, Communications, CX, Events, Marketing, Product, UX, among others.


    • Ability to anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and anticipate and make tradeoffs to balance the business needs versus creative constraints.


    • Ability to make creative decisions under challenging situations through excellent design acumen, strong business judgment, effective persuasion.


    • Proven success reporting to leadership on creative/content program performance and metrics, including insights, key takeaways, and actionable recommendations for continuous improvement and optimization.


    • Proficiency in project management, including resource bandwidth, capacity allocation, timelines/deadlines and deliverables, and stakeholder communication.


    • Strong client presence, experience dealing with senior executives, and presenting at internal and external events.


    • Positive, adaptive, curious, and pro-active approach, with demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and execute simultaneous projects in an agile, dynamic environment, and customer-centric environment.


    • Superior prioritization and organization skills with a keen eye to detail.


    • Excellent communication, collaboration, interpersonal, listening, presentation, and storytelling skills.


    • Ability to travel up to 25%.


    • Proficiency in the business language for PMI (English).
