Droga5's PR team is one of the most-respected advertising agency PR departments in the business. We're small but mighty and have a strong drive to achieve the unachievable. We cover corporate communications for Droga5, its executives and publicity around the launch of our campaigns targeted at the business and advertising media. Thought leadership, industry awards, agency social media, speaking engagements, internal events and special projects and more, all fall under our responsibilities.

We are also increasingly involved in developing PR strategies for our client's campaigns as part of a truly integrated campaign, working closely with our Communications Strategy, Media and Creative teams, to inform and influence the final campaign output. This means our campaigns work harder to become part of cultural conversations and ensures that the earned media complements the paid media strategy.

The Senior PR & Communications Manager has a strong focus on managing and magnifying the reputation of the agency and its work.

Working alongside the rest of the PR team, the Senior PR & Communications Manager will work with a number of client teams across the agency on a wide variety of campaign projects. One day is rarely the same as the next.

This is a fast-moving role in a growing department that the right candidate can craft as their own. It is an exciting opportunity to work across a broad portfolio of top-class brands and on award-winning brand projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • As Senior PR & Communications Manager, you will work with the Head of PR & Comms and Droga5 PR/Comms team on the agency's PR, Awards, Internal Comms and External Comms, which include the agency's Social Media and Website, along with its Wikipedia page.
  • Oversee the agency's important award show strategy and submissions for both industry and editorial awards, which include but are not limited to:
    • Industry: Cannes Lions, The One Show, D&AD, etc.
    • Editorial: Ad Age A-List & Creativity Awards, Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies list, Business Insider's Rising Stars of Madison Avenue, etc.
    • Leverage experience and relationships to secure keynote speaking opportunities at major industry events such as Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, SXSW, ANA, 4A's, CES, etc
    • Provide PR support for industry events Droga5 is attending, including pitching on-site interviews, identify news and feature opportunities and manage on-site journalist/analyst attendance and briefings and follow up
    • Routinely bring new ideas for, and opportunities to, showcase Droga5's industry thought leadership to our target audiences
    • Provide strong points of view on media opportunities, industry events, the competitive landscape and reputational developments at Droga5
    • Oversee asset collection and case study video creation for all relevant entries, working with internal client teams, production and creative resource manager to manage resource availability
    • Proactively develop content on behalf of agency thought leaders that can be used as byline opportunities or speaking engagements
    • Plan and direct strategic industry analyst activities focused on establishing and building relationships with key analysts, and with ensuring analysts can clearly and accurately articulate who we are and what we do


      Job Qualifications
      • Four to eight years of PR experience at a creative agency.
      • Demonstrated ability in creating holistic communication programs that span engagement, content creation, social platforms and event management
      • Experience conceiving and pitching targeted stories to advertising, creative and business media with a proven track record of media relations results
      • The ability to think and act both strategically and tactically is critical to the success of the role
      • Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects; and, adjust priorities in a fast-moving business environment
      • Strong ability to clearly articulate problems and present with a proposed solution; ability to work directly with senior executives
      • Ability to assist in the creation of compelling messaging and content through understanding the multiple facets of a integrated brand agency


        Preferred, but not required:
        • Experience in executing and managing integrated PR programs, with progressive experience in influencer relations, event strategy, program/project management, speaking engagements and/or analyst relations, preferably in a global creative agency environment
        • Experience in creating and updating newsletters or related templates in Microsoft Outlook


          Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York or Washington as set forth below.
