St. Vincent's is the first hospital in Fairfield County to be integrated into the Hartford HealthCare network, and is the system's second-largest hospital. - Position Summary Reporting to the Vice President Philanthropy, t he A ssociate Director Grants leads the Philanthropy team grant writing and reporting, the Colleague Giving Campaign and department project management. Additionally, this position manages a portfolio of donors capable of making gifts of at least $10,000+ and develops strategies for capital and major fundraising initiatives. Position Responsibilities Write and manage grant writing and reporting of grants for Philanthropy to include the Medical Mission supporting urgent and long-term goals.

• Develop strategies to increase grant awards.
• Develop and maintain a grant database and calendar to track progress of grant applications and reporting deadlines and requests.
• Build on existing relationships and develop stewardship plan.
• Cultivate relationships with Medical Staff, working alongside the VP to raise awareness on requesting fund. Develop policy for procedures to apply for approved budget items, capital items, new programs and support.
• Manage staff. Research, identify, and assess, corporate, foundations and community based organizations matching their interests that align with regional and system - wide strategic priorities.
  • Work with the VP and internal teams to create proposals for approved budget requests and other development programs.
  • Collaborate with staff to facilitate the identification and design of funding opportunities. Manage annual Colleague Giving Campaign, special projects and events. Manage a portfolio of individuals and foundations capable of making gifts of $10,000+. Perform other related duties as needed. Qualifications Education
    • Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, project management, or comparable field. Qualifications
