Job Description: Our client, a well established hedge fund, is looking to add a Staff Accountant to their team! Responsibilities include assisting with quarter and year-end close, maintaining the general ledger, processing accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with year-end audits. The ideal candidate will come with at least four years' experience in corporate accounting and financial reporting, preferably for an asset management firm. Job Responsibilities: Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, etc. Perform and review general ledger functions to assist with monthly accounting activity and closings. Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to general ledger, and may review and approve monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Compile and analyze financial information to prepare and post entries to general ledger accounts and to document business transactions. Prepare reports on a monthly basis, including forecasts, operation expense reports and others. Other ad hoc requests as needed. Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required Must be highly detail oriented and organized Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office application; especially Excel Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management to maximize results 1–2 years’ experience Public Accounting Experience a plus Compensation: $100,000 - $125,000
