Job Description:
Job Summary: Reporting to the Executive Director, NA Customer
Operations, we are seeking a strong candidate to lead the execution
of US contract strategy and the Contract Administration team. The
individual in this role will be a key player on the US Commercial
Operations Team and will be instrumental in establishing
operational excellence in the areas of Proposal Development and
Contract Administration. The role of the Director, Contract
Development & Administration is to manage the day-to-day activities
of the Proposal Development and Contract Administration team, be
the primary contact for Model N functionality and support the
annual execution of Pricing and Channel Strategy across the CSL
Seqirus product portfolio. Major Responsibilities: Contract
Development and Administration: Oversee the day-to-day operations
of the Contract Development & Administration team, inclusive of
contract authoring (profitability analysis, redlines, collaboration
with Sales team, etc.) and contract adjudication (chargebacks,
Admin Fees, rebates, membership & eligibility management, etc.)
with focus on Purchase-Based contracting. Manage a dedicated
US-based contract administration team, providing guidance and
support to drive high performance and accountability. Empower the
team to excel in Commercial customer contract operations and lead a
culture of continuous process and system improvements. Timely and
thorough review of all contracts and related documents ensuring
agreements have the necessary language to properly define intent,
protection and liabilities, and Commercial business terms. Manage
and oversee contract redlines, amendments, correspondence, RFPs,
bids, etc., relating to various Commercial customer contract
agreements. Conduct pre-deal analytics to understand contract
profitability and that contracting terms are consistent with
channel/segment guidelines and strategies; present and support
contract offer recommendations within Pricing Committee governance.
Establish cross-functional collaboration with internal and external
stakeholders to ensure contracts are; operational, functional, and
interpreted accurately for timely implementation and other
contractual obligations. Maintain and develop as needed,
contracting metrics and KPIs to assure internal Customer Experience
expectations and Customer contract performance expectations are met
SME and primary point of contact for Model N revenue management
system and its capabilities and maintenance. Cross-Functional
Partnership Development Legal – Collaboration on contract templates
and legal language that support Commercial strategy and legal
compliance Finance – Accurate Commercial contract accruals and
management of team budget Commercial Operations – Coordination with
Operations, Finance, Sales and Market Access teams to ensure
consistent communication of Contract strategies, pricing, terms
Project Management – Support the continuous improvements of
department processes and procedures that impact both internal and
external Customer Experience Minimum Qualifications: BS/BA,
Business related field, MBA or advanced degree preferred 10 years
of demonstrated experience/knowledge with Commercial contracting
and pricing activities in the pharmaceutical industry, that include
the following segments of trade; Retail, Wholesalers, Government,
Group Purchasing Organizations, PBGs and IDNs Vaccine experience
preferred Strong Model N experience Extensive knowledge of the US
healthcare market; US healthcare delivery, financial, and
reimbursement mechanisms and healthcare compliance laws and
regulations. Experience leading and managing teams Ability to
influence and lead and be a change agent for systems and processes
The expected base salary range for this position at hiring is
$213,000 - $265,000. Please note this salary range reflects the
minimum and maximum base pay that CSL expects to pay for this
position at the listed location as of the time of this posting.
Individual base salary for a successful candidate is determined by
qualifications, skill level, experience, competencies and other
relevant factors. In addition to base salary, total compensation
for this role may also include incentive compensation and equity.
