Our reputable healthcare/ non-profit client in Fairfield county is seeking a CFO to join the company. The CFO must have an ability to work well with the CEO, board members and other senior executives, as well as strong analytical, strategic-planning, operational and communication skills. A combination of industry and public accounting experience is preferred. This is the perfect role for an experience CFO looking for a challenging role at an established company.
Responsibilities

• 
  Ensure the integrity of a company's financial information and suggest improvements
  
  
• 
  Manage all finance personnel
  
  
• 
  Verify that staff comply with state and federal laws and company's policies
  
  
• 
  Preside over independent auditor relationships
  
  
• 
  Strategically manage the accounting and finance functions
  
  
• 
  Own vendor relationships
  
  
• 
  Hire, train and retain finance and accounting staff
  
  
• 
  Determine if cash flow is appropriate for the organization's operations
  
  
• 
  Identify and control business risks and insurance requirements
  
  
• 
  Supervise accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
  
  
• 
  Develop and maintain relationships with investment institutions and investors
  
  
• 
  Oversee implementations and upgrades for financial systems

  Requirements
  
  • 
    
  • 
    MBA or MS required, CPA highly preferred
    
    
  • 
    Proficient in Microsoft Excel
    
    
  • 
    Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
    
    
  • 
    Public accounting experience a plus
    
    
  • 
    5+ years' management experience
    
    
  • 
    Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
    
    
  • 
    Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and IIA standards
    
    
  • 
    10+ years' experience in accounting or finance, including prior experience at a CFO level
    
    
  • 
    Experience working within the healthcare industry, ideally within a non-profit healthcare setting
    
    
  • 
    Excellent leadership and organizational skills
